Ingredients: 2 ounces Cognac; ½ ounce green Chartreuse; ¾ ounce fresh lemon juice; ½ ounce simple syrup; 1 dash Angostura bitters; Garnish: 1 lemon twist

Method

Shake all the ingredients with ice, then strain into a chilled coupe. Express the lemon twist over the drink, then set it on the edge of the glass.

History

A Cognac sour built with Chartreuse, first appearing in print in the 1930s and named for the famous Parisian avenue, fitting its French base spirit and liqueur.
