Pegu Cub Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces London dry
  • ¾ ounce
  • ¾ ounce fresh juice
  • 1 dash
  • 1 dash House
  • Garnish: 1 wedge

Method

Shake all the ingredients with ice, then double strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with the lime wedge.

History

Named for the Pegu Club, a British colonial-era social club in Rangoon, Burma, where the gin-and-orange-liqueur drink was reportedly served to soldiers and became well-traveled enough to appear in Harry Craddock's 1930 Savoy Cocktail Book.
